Hey guys👋🏻

People nowadays are confused about which formation is better.

Aetherhunter / Wild Feather / Speedstar OR Aetherhunter / Skull / Speedstar

Well, both formations are good, but both formations have pros and cons.

First, let's take a look at Aetherhunter / Wild Feather / Speedstar

PROS

  • Aetherhunter, Wild Feather, and Speedstar all 3 heroes have a Damage mitigation skill that makes it a solid tank formation.

  • Aetherhunter is a high-damage dealer, and Wild Feather and Speedstar have skills that boost Aetherhunter's output Skill Damage.

  • Speedstar and Wild Feather both are healing heroes, so your APC can heal troops much better.

  • Speedstar has a skill that makes all your shooters move first, and moving first is always an advantage in battle.

  • Aetherhunter's damage mitigation skill only works for the first few rounds, and Wild Feather and Speedstar damage mitigation support to Aetherhunter makes her take less damage even after her damage mitigation is over.

CONS

  • Aetherhunter is the only damage hero, so having 1 damage hero may not be a great choice if you face a slightly stronger APC than yours.

  • Crippling can reduce your healing every turn so probably after turn 4, your heroes won't be able to heal much better and also some heroes has skill to reduce your healing affect that may make a you heal less troops in battle because you deal damage from 1 hero but your all 3 heroes will take damage from enemy.

Now, let's take a look at Aetherhunter / Skull / Speedstar

PROS

  • Aetherhunter, Skull and Speedstar all three heroes have damage mitigation skill but the difference is Aetherhunter and Skull damage mitigation won't work after first few turns and then the damage mitigation will come from Speedstar which is last long till battle ends.

  • Aetherhunter and Skull both are damage-dealing heroes, and it's good to have 2 damage-dealing heroes in APC because Speedstar increases damage boost, and in this formation, both heroes (Aetherhunter and Skull) can gain the advantage of more damage dealing.

  • Aetherhunter links 2 random squads, so when one squad takes damage, the other squad takes half of its damage. Here, you can kill more enemy troops by having 2 damage-dealing heroes in APC.

  • Aetherhunter and Skull both are 'Burning' type heroes, and Speedstar increases the burning damage to +50%, so here, both Aetherhunter and Skull can get the advantage of that burning damage.

  • Skull suppresses the burning/poisoned enemy squads every round with a 25% chance. Aetherhunter put enemy squads in burning status while Skull put enemy squads in Pooison status in the first 3 rounds and also with a 50% chance to put enemy squads in burning status too.

  • Skull takes 75% less damage in the first 2 rounds, and Speedstar also reduces damage taken by all heroes by 30%, so Skull will take 105% less damage in the first 2 rounds. This may take a benefit against Darksister, who makes the middle-row hero take 25% more damage, so here Skull can still take less damage after sitting in the middle-row against Darksister.

CONS

  • Aetherhunter skill damage mitigation won't work after the 3rd round, and Skull damage mitigation won't work after the 2nd round, and they both will depend on Speedstar's damage mitigation. That may make these heroes take slightly more damage after 3rd round.

  • We have only Speedstar as a healer so it may heal less troops compare to Aetherhunter / Wild Feather / Speedstar but with Skull you can deal more damage.

  • Wild Feather makes damage-dealing heroes deal some percentage of direct damage while they deal damage. While Skull doesn't have any direct-damage dealing skill, when we use only Aetherhunter with Wild Feather, it won't affect much, but another side Skull with Aetherhunter deals more damage that sometimes even deals more damage compared to direct-damage.

Still, the choice is yours. Choose your formation wisely. If you have any questions, feel free to reply here and ask.
